Refunds for paid tickets are issued by the event Organizer, not automatically by SPION. If you need a refund, contact the Organizer directly using the contact details on your ticket confirmation email. If you're unable to reach them, you can contact SPION support and we'll help facilitate it.
An approved refund returns the ticket price to your original payment method. The platform fee charged at checkout (and any GST on it) is not refunded — it covers the cost of processing the original payment, which is incurred regardless of a later refund.
Once a refund is approved, the money is returned via our payment gateway (Razorpay or Cashfree) to your original payment method. Depending on your bank or payment method, this typically takes 5–7 business days to reflect, though this is controlled by the gateway and your bank, not SPION.
These event types don't involve a payment, so there's nothing to refund. If you can no longer attend, you can simply let the Organizer know, or the Organizer can cancel your registration.
The Organizer is responsible for notifying Attendees and issuing refunds if their event is cancelled or postponed. SPION provides the tools for an Organizer to do this, but SPION is not the organizer of any event and does not independently guarantee a refund on an Organizer's behalf.
The one-time fee an Organizer pays to publish an event on SPION is non-refundable, under all circumstances — including if the event is later cancelled, unpublished, or changed.
Credits purchased to use SPION's AI features (drafting event page copy, regenerating a section, translating a page, or reading an uploaded poster) are non-refundable, under all circumstances, once purchased. Credits are not money — they can't be withdrawn, exchanged for cash, transferred to another account, or redeemed for anything other than SPION's own AI features. If an individual AI generation fails or returns something we couldn't use, the credits it would have cost are automatically returned to your balance — this isn't a refund of a purchase, it's simply not charging you for something that wasn't delivered.
If you believe a refund was wrongly denied, contact the Organizer first. If it remains unresolved, reach out to SPION support at [email protected] and we'll look into it.
